What to see on the Camino ?

  • The Aubrac plateau : Aubrac is a volcanic and granitic plateau that extends over an area of 1,500 km2. Bovine breeding is the main activity on the plateau. Aubrac has its own bovine species called "Aubrac", which is well adapted to the environment. The cows are mainly bred for their meat. Landscape is really picturesque with wide pasture and narrow path with stone walls. The region is also known for its knife industry. It is here that the Laguiole knife is made by around thirty local craftsmen.
  • La Chaze de Peyre : impressive wild landscape
  • Malbouzon : old priory dating from Sainte Foy de Conques. Today you can see the church (XIIe century). The village is wellknown for its market in late May or early June every year.
  • Nasbinals : Roman Church from XI century
  • Deroc cascade (short detour from Montgros) and the Salhien lake in the aubrac
